So let’s start with the number one must visit destination of Bangkok.
Asiatique: The Riverfront
Asiatique The Riverfront is not only my favorite destination in Bangkok but also Bangkok’s premier destination, offering a delightful mix of shopping, dining and entertainment activities along the Chao Phraya River. Whether you are visiting this place during the day or night, the ambiance of the place is spectacular. This open air mall combines the charm and beauty of a night bazar with the elegance of modern shopping complex. With almost 1500 different shops and approximately 40 restaurants, this place offers plenty to explore and enjoy. You will also find here lot of shopping stalls and shops which is perfect for finding gifts and souvenirs.
In the evening, the area becomes even more entertaining and exciting, as you can embark on a cruise tour. These cruises cost between $25-50$ depending on the company and services, and offer a fantastic and unforgettable view of Bangkok from the water along with entertaining activities on the cruise. Tickets for the cruise tour can be booked online or directly from the cruise company stalls within the Asiatique.
Accessible by both boat and road, Asiatique is easy to reach. The ferry ride to Asiatique is itself a scenic journey, providing beautiful and stunning views of the city skyline and the river. Wat Pho Temple
Bangkok is famous for its numerous temples and palaces, each of them has a different design and architecture, which offers a unique glimpse into Thailand’s culture and religious heritage. Among these temples, Wat Pho Temple stands out as a must visit destination in Bangkok. The temple architecture is really breathtaking, with intricate design and vibrant colors that reflect artistry from every angle.
Located in the heart of the city, Wat Pho Temple is a serene place amidst the city’s hustle and bustle. The temple’s beautiful features, picturesque landscape gardens, and smaller shrines add more beauty to the temple. You can also visit big beautiful halls, where golden Buddha statues and detailed murals depict scenes from Buddhist mythology.
So, whether you are a history enthusiast, spiritual seeker, or simply an admirer or good architecture, Wat Pho Temple is a must visit place for you in Bangkok.
Icon Siam & Siam Paragon
The third place which I added in the list of must visit places in Bangkok is two beautiful and unique shopping malls, so if you are shopping lover or not, Bangkok is one of the best places for shopping in the world. The city offers everything, from local markets to luxury malls. And among these, two shopping centers stand out: Icon Siam and Siam Paragon.
Icon Siam the newly built marvel, is more than just a shopping mall, I’ve visited so many malls around the world but to be honest Icon Siam is different and marvelous, the theme and the interior design of the mall is just exceptional. Then the views from the top floor over the Chao Phraya River and city skyline are just breathtaking. In the evening, visitors can also enjoy the fountain dance show here as well. And inside the mall you can find plenty of luxury brands, boutiques, and a diverse range of dining options, which makes it a perfect spot for both shopping and leisure.
Siam Paragon on the other hand, is a favorite destination for shopping in Bangkok. Known for its wide variety of dining options and almost every famous international brand you can think of, it offers a comprehensive shopping experience. Siam paragon caters to every need and taste. Whether you are looking for the latest fashion, or a good meal or just a place to explore, these two are essential stops on any Bangkok itinerary.
